Tool22 is a Dutch alternative band built on chemistry, friendship, and fearless experimentation. It all began in the mid-90s when founding members Martijn and Michel crossed paths in Leiden.
Their shared love for songwriting quickly turned into a studio obsession, eventually growing into the live band Tools R Us, joined by guitarist π, bassist Natas, and drummer Danny.
After a few explosive years of gigs, demos, and festival shows, the band split in 1999.
In 2009, Martijn and Michel reunited and immediately rediscovered their creative spark. With Natas and π rejoining the fold, and a shift from live drums to digital production, the band found a new sound and fresh momentum.
Now rebranded as Tool22, the band is back — fully recharged with their first official release under the new name.
